Chef app

The chef app is the kitchen display. After a role-checked login (RoleGate(allowedRoles: ['chef', 'admin'])), it opens AdminOrderQueueScreen (lib/admin/screens/admin_order_screen.dart) full screen, with a sign-out button.

The order queue

  • A real-time grid of every order, newest first, colour-coded by status.
  • A stats bar with active, preparing and ready counts, plus revenue.
  • Tap an order to open its detail sheet: the line items (with any notes), table number and payment state.
  • One button moves the order to its next stage:

Each change is a single Firestore update, so the customer's Order status screen updates instantly.

placed and received

The customer app creates orders as placed. The queue also accepts the older name received for the same first stage, so orders saved before the rename can still be started.
